I started elegant garden several weeks ago, the pattern is by Laundry basket quilts, 25 9" blocks in all. I decided to do them on heavy flannel with wool applique, I added embroidery to add a bit of spice and love how they are evolving

I should think about doing the same thing. I have the patterns but have not started on any stitching.
You know, your addition of embroidery really adds to them. You are SO TALENTED with that! I love it.

Absolutly beautiful blocks. I have the patterns and have some done in cotton..but I might just switch over to wool now! Thanks for the inspiration :)
