Sweet retreat and Vintage valentine

I started these tops last year, had all the fabrics for the chain blocks in my stash and was going to do something else for the center floral blocks, but when I went to the quilt shop to get backing and thread for another quilt lo and behold she had the rose fabric! so I treated myself and bought the panel. The Pattern is from June 08 American Patchwork and Quilting. I dragged the blocks out this week and finished piecing the top and then added borders rather than the pairrie points but I may still add the points, I need to think about that before I quilt it.

I also but borders on my Vintage Valentine, so that's ready to quilt, I will hand quilt it, hope to have it done by May. I pieced the backing for VV today and then spent hours looking for the patttern I can't remember where it is, or if I gave it to someone? hate when I lose my mind.

You have made some gorgeous quilts! I made Vintage Valentine too. I'm sending mine to the longarm quilter. Wish I had the patience to quilt it by hand. Can't wait till May to see yours all done!

Hi betty,

This is my first visit to your blog. I only been blogging for about a week and a half and I'm amazed at how small the world has become.

I did the Sweet Retreat quilt as well but I chose to eliminate the rose inserts. It's on the bed in my guest bedroom and you can see it on my blog.

The Vintage Valentine quilt is a favorite of mine and is on my "must do" list. Could you please tell me who the designer is or wherre I can purchase the pattern.

Love your work and I'll be back to visit again.
